St Paul's Cathedral: Entrance Ticket
Why you should buy your ticket on Family Days.
Highlights
St Paul's Cathedral in London , dedicated to Saint Paul the Apostle, has stood on the same site since 604 AD. The current building was recreated in the 17th century by Sir Christopher Wren after the devastating Great Fire of London , becoming one of the most iconic symbols of the London skyline.
For over 300 years, St Paul's Cathedral has hosted major historical events, including the celebrated wedding of Princess Diana and Prince Charles , and is the final resting place of remarkable historical figures such as Admiral Lord Nelson and Sir Christopher Wren himself.
Stroll beneath the famous 365-foot-tall St. Paul's Dome and discover the building's cruciform plan, a true masterpiece of engineering and architecture. For more adventurous visitors, it's possible to climb 257 steps to the Whispering Gallery , where a mere whisper along the curved wall can be heard by those on the other side. Those seeking even more spectacular views can continue to the Stone Gallery (376 steps) or the Golden Gallery (528 steps) for breathtaking panoramas of London.
Exhibition “Sir Christopher Wren: The Quest for Knowledge”
2023 marked the 300th anniversary of the death of Sir Christopher Wren , the revolutionary scientist, mathematician, and architect responsible for the construction of the new St. Paul's Cathedral . This special exhibition celebrates Wren's life and early works, while also exploring his lesser-known contributions to mathematics, astronomy, and physiology . Visitors can admire drawings, plans, photographs, and personal artifacts from an era when science and religion intertwined, transforming society.
