At M9 you can delve into the history of the 20th century. World wars that changed the face of Europe forever, developments in daily life and enormous environmental and cultural upheavals. A lot has happened in 100 years.
On the first floor of M9, take a look at everyday life. How have the faces and bodies of Italians changed, what are the differences in social and gender roles between then and now? How do domestic spaces, clothing and food differ? Then there is the almost unbelievable progress of technology to discuss.
On the second floor, see the evolution of public and collective spaces. Learn how urbanization has changed the country and how national identity has been formed through schooling and literacy.
